Can You Really Make Money On The Internet?

Everyone who has started an internet business asks that same question. Matter of fact, perhaps everyone that has gone into business has asked that same question.

Yes you can make money on the internet. Does that answer your question? No! What else do you want to know?

How much money can you make on the internet?

You can make as much money as you want. Or, you can make as little as you want. It's totally up to you.

It takes time and patience to grow a business. I know you hear people say “make $90,000 dollars in one day” or “become a zillionaire overnight”.

Let’s face it. There are people that do make tens of thousands or millions of dollars overnight. That’s true. But you might want to ask yourself how long have they been in the internet business. You will find out that most people that make that kind of money overnight have been doing it for awhile.

And yes, there are those people who make lots of money overnight that are not in the limelight. Some people that work hard at it make a very good living. Some just get by and a lot of them just simply fail.

Why do some people make it big and some don't?

It's really simple. There are three keys.

First, is to follow a good system. Get the information from a good program. If the program has coaching, all the better. Having a coach or mentor will increase the speed of your results.

Second is to understand that to implement a program you must actually do a lot of reading and listening. There is a lot of learning to be done. What a scary word because learning means work. Does this mean you have to do something other then open the box and take out the DVD’s and CD's.

Remember those people that just fail? Some of them don’t even open the box. Some just put the information on a shelf. You have to actually listen, watch and read to learn the information.

Is it work? Yes! The difference is your Attitude. Yes it is work, but it is your own business; so have fun with it.

The last key is to take action - do something each day. When you first start out have small goals. For example: finding a niche, thorough keyword research. What is it that you have that other people want? Each day set aside one hour to do some research to find a niche.

After you decide what your niche is, then you can start a blog. Open up your free blog account at Blogger.com. Start blogging. Blogging is like having your own journal. Start out with ten to fifteen minutes a day. Start a relationship with the people that will become prospects and customers of yours.

Blog every day for a while. These small bits of information that you are creating will come in to play as you grow. Now you can start to think about a web site. You can start to blog without having a web site.

You are better off doing something wrong than not doing anything at all. Progress, not perfection.

Have you ever asked an internet marketing guru what excites them the most about your business, other than making money? Most say the same thing.

They get excided when one of their students buys their product and does something with it. They know their products work. They have seen it with their own eyes. The problem is people do not.

You need to have the right attitude. You need to ask yourself - why do you even want to be in business for yourself? Is it for the money? Is it for the freedom of your time so you can do what you want - like spending more time with your family and friends? These are some great reasons to have your own business.

Now you have to ask yourself, what are you willing to do to be successful? How many hours are you really willing to put into a business to have the freedom you say you want? What things are you willing to give up now so you can live the lifestyle you want later?

This means do not say you do not have time. You had a rough day at work. Your dog has fleas. NO EXCUSES means NO EXCUSES.

Will things go wrong? Yes. What is your attitude when things go wrong? Do you whine and give up? Or do you shake it off and keep going?

Allow yourself a five to ten minute pity party and then say “next”. No more than ten minutes. Then get back to your business. Things do go wrong but that’s no excuse to give up. Stay focused; remind yourself why you are doing this.

Can you make money on the internet? Of course you can, it is totally up to you.
